Our Records Purpose
Alabama law provides access to many public records, but that does not mean every record or image is posted online. The Winston County Sheriff's Office creates and maintains county booking material, while the Winston County Jail handles current custody. The Circuit Clerk holds the later court record and disposition. The Alabama Department of Corrections publishes information about people in state-prison custody, not routine county bookings. This site gathers official lookup routes, request steps, and clearly sourced contacts. It does not store official records or display a mugshot gallery.
